US reality star Jeff Lewis, who hosted what turned out to be a 'super spreader' Christmas party earlier this month says it was "worth almost dying for".

The Flipping Out star revealed on his SiriusXM show that he had spent Christmas recovering from Covid after he threw a party for his employees that became a super spreader event, according to Page Six.

"That was an epic party. It was so worth almost dying for," the 51-year-old said of the December 21 event.

He explained how co-host Megan Weaver, assistant Shane Douglas, actress Monika Casey, Shahs of Sunset star Mercedeh Javid Feight and Jeff's on-again-off-again boyfriend Scott Anderson became sick soon after the party.

"Thursday is when everyone started testing positive," he said, adding that "a third" of the attendees ended up getting the virus.

"We also have people with symptoms who haven’t been tested yet. I don’t regret [it], by the way," he said. "People are saying we’re reckless and stupid. No, we’re not, f**kers. We were all vaccinated and we had a nurse there testing all of us before we even went in the door. I thought we were being responsible."

Jeff shared his "really bad" experience with Covid over Christmas, saying, "Christmas Eve, I tested negative, so I went to my family’s Christmas Eve dinner.

"I did wear a mask and I stayed distanced … then I started feeling sick at dinner. I went home early."

He added that the following day he was "in pretty bad shape".

"My fever went up to 103.8 [39.9 degrees celsius]. Scottie took a bowl of ice water and was putting cloths on my body to try to bring the temperature down," he recalled. "I was a little delirious and I told him, 'I think you’re going to wake up tomorrow and I’m going to be dead.'"

Jeff also confirmed he was distancing himself from his daughter Monroe, five, who he shares with ex Gage Edward.

"I don’t want her to get sick, and I also don’t want to take care of her because I don’t have any nannies," he said adding even his housekeepers have Covid.

"I’m down to two, and if anything happens to those two, I’m not going to be able to feed myself. I don’t know who is going to be able to take care of me!"

Real Housewives of Miami star Lea Black commented on one of Jeff's Instagram posts, informing his followers that those who had received their boosters had tested negative.

"Everyone that had booster shot (that I know of tested negative)!" she wrote. "Go get your booster.

"Many guests had been tested for the jobs 2-3 days before plus before party at socially distanced covid champagne table outside - tested by nurse (sic)."
