The real reason why William 'snubbed' Meghan on Christmas Day

It was one of the most talked-about moments from the royal family’s Christmas Day procession this year, but it turns out there might be a reason why Prince William ‘snubbed’ Meghan Markle at church.

Footage of the couples leaving St Mary Magdalene Church at Sandringham was shared to both Instagram and Twitter, which appeared to show the 37-year-old Duchess of Sussex turning to have a quick chat to the 36-year-old future king.

However, William didn’t make eye contact with the former Suits actress, and instead seemed to be very focused on fixing his scarf.

Meghan’s fans were in uproar online, claiming William was rude to ignore the Duchess and was only adding fuel to rumours the couples don’t get along.

“Does he like Meghan?” one fan asked on Twitter.

“What on earth is he doing?” another pointed out.

He could have just missed the signal (as some of us sometimes do) however, body language expert Judi James, claims there could be a deeper reason why William acted that way.

“This sense of distancing could be caused by tensions but it could also primarily be prompted by William’s aversion to royal ‘soap operas’,” Judi told The Express.

“After the tragic dramas of his parent’s marriage, William has always appeared keen to avoid any public emotional displays that might draw too much ongoing attention from the press and it could easily be this, rather than Meghan herself, that he’s keen to avoid.”

In December, Judi said she believed the lack of ease between Prince Harry and William on Christmas Day actually revealed the truth about the alleged family tensions that had been making headlines.

“They’ve both got their hands stuck in their pockets and I didn’t see any connection signals between them at all,” she told the Daily Mail.

Reports previously suggested Prince Harry accused his brother of trying to “wreck his relationship” with Meghan, after Wills voiced concerns about the former Suits star when the couple first started dating.

Then, it was reported that Kate Middleton hasn’t being seeing eye-to-eye with Meghan, with the feud being blamed for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s impending move from Kensington Palace to Frogmore Cottage.
