"He was a true gentleman and worked up until [his] passing. I've worked with him for 20 years and we became firm friends," his longtime agent Tanya Kleckner told Variety.

"He will be sorely missed. We are all heartbroken by this tragic loss, a beautiful soul gone way too soon."

His manager, Frederick Levy, confirmed to People that the star was battling cancer, although he was unclear on what kind.

"Ravil was one of a kind. He was a true gentleman, extremely generous and incredibly talented," he said.

Most recently Ravil held recurring roles on CBS' NCIS: Los Angeles, Glow and TNT's The Last Ship, as well as a role in Season 5 of FX's The Americans and Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

He also starred on the big screen in films including Defiance, K-19: The Widowmaker, and Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
