Preparing meals for the Queen and the whole royal family can’t be an easy job, but even in the worst of places you don’t expect to find a dead slug in your dinner.
The Queen was given a salad to chow down made by royal kitchen staff, but she discovered the meal contained a massive dead slug. Um, ew.
The monarch, of course, let the kitchen staff know about the blunder, but in a hilariously sassy way.
She tore off a sheet from a comments book she normally uses to convey her appreciation to people, but of course this time it was different.
On the piece of paper she placed a dead slug, and wrote a wonderfully sarcastic note along with it.
“I found this in the salad – could you eat it?” the Queen wrote.
Boom, mic drop.
While foods that are considered risky like shellfish, rare meat and raw fish, are barred in the royal household, we’re guessing slugs should probably fall in that category too – just a hunch.
