Queen Letizia of Spain Favors Bold Shoulders in Blue Roland Mouret Dress With Daughters, Princesses Leonor and Sofia at Princesa De Asturias Awards
Queen Letizia of Spain went for a sharp look while attending events on Thursday in Oviedo, Spain. The Queen, alongside Crown Princess Leonor of Spain, King Felipe VI of Spain, and Princess Sofia attended a concert prior to the 2024 “Princesa De Asturias” Awards at the Prince Felipe Auditorium.
For the evening event, Queen Letizia wore a navy blue Roland Mouret gown. The midi dress featured statement padded shoulders and a cinched waist creating a bold silhouette. The neckline was asymmetric and had ruched detailing on the bodice and shoulders. The look was paired with a gold metallic clutch and pointed-toe, sling back kitten heels by Magrit in a similar finish. She accessorized with a Coreterno ring and Aldao 1911 Madrid earrings, a gift from King Felipe VI on the birth of Princess Leonor.

Her daughters, Princess Leonor and Princess Sofia wore equally elegant looks for the event. Princess Leonor wore a gray floral print pleated skirt and top by Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini. Her sister, Infanta Sofia opted for a black Zara dress, with ruched detailing and black flats designed by Carolina Herrera.
Queen Letizia’s wardrobe and styling choices often include a statement silhouettes and vibrant colors. Throughout the years, she can be seen wearing an array of styles from tweed midi dresses to sleeveless satin dresses like the Boss ensemble she wore for the Mallorca Film Festival. Most recently, the royal wore a delicate venetian lace dress while attending the National Culture Awards earlier this month. The dress was a cream, cap-sleeve midi dress, which was also paired with sling-back heels.
Although Queen Letizia is often seen wearing a dress for events and galas, she also appears to be a fan of a pantsuit and other classic silhouettes. Last month, she wore a Roberto Verino blouse with slim-fit tailored trousers while attending the Royal School Year opening, which maintained her streamlined disposition, but offered an interesting alternative to a dress.
