Princess Mary urges Harry to pop the question
She’s already firm besties with Kate Middleton and now it seems Princess Mary is already a big fan of Prince Harry’s girlfriend, Meghan Markle.
According to sources, Prince Harry made an impromptu visit to see Princess Mary when he was in Copenhagen recently, and she didn’t hold back on her feelings for his other half.
“She told Harry to hurry up, and she can’t wait to come to the wedding,” a source told New Idea.
Meghan famously gets along like a house on fire with Kate Middleton and is said to be a big fan of Meghan’s humanitarian work.
“She thinks Meghan is a beautiful woman and she can’t wait to see her join the British royal family,” the source continued.
“She told Harry she thought he was very lucky and Meghan would make a brilliant bride.”
It comes after it was reported that 45-year-old Princess Mary, who married Denmark’s Crown Prince Frederik in 2004, is reportedly ready to step up to the mark after it was revealed the royal family is going through some tough times.
Indeed, Queen Maragrethe has always insisted that she will rule Denmark until the day she dies, however with her own health in limbo and her husband’s recent diagnosis, it’s thought she will abdicate sooner rather than later.
The 46-year-old - who has children Prince Christian, 10, Princess Isabella, nine, and five-year-old twins Princess Josephine and Prince Vincent with husband Crown Prince Frederik -has continuously taken over more and more royal tasks from her ageing mother-in-law, Queen Margrethe II.
Queen Margrethe confirmed last year that her husband, Prince Henrik, was retiring, leaving many questioning when she would join him and if Princess Mary would take up a more prominent role in the royal family.
The Queen's health has also been deteriorating and it's thought that soon she will begin passing over the majority of her duties to her son Prince Frederik.
