Princess Eugenie’s fiancé admits he’s ‘terrified’ ahead of his wedding

Getting married can be a daunting experience for any bride and groom, but imagine doing it in front of the Queen and having the whole thing broadcast live on TV.

That’s the reality for 32-year-old Jack Brooksbank, who is set to tie the knot with 28-year-old Princess Eugenie this Friday in front of the whole world.

And Jack, who is the UK ambassador for George Clooney and Rande Gerber’s tequila brand, Casamigos, has revealed he is extremely anxious about his big day.

“I’ll need to take a few minutes for myself before the speeches because I’m terrified,” Jack told the Daily Mail.

“It’s very exciting but I’m a little bit nervous.”

Jack and Eugenie announced back in January that they were engaged, with the Queen’s granddaughter saying it was a ‘complete surprise’ when Jack dropped to his knee.

“The lake was so beautiful. The light was just a special light I had never seen,” Eugenie said in an interview with the BBC.

“I actually said this is an incredible moment, and then he popped the question, which was really surprising even though we have been together seven years.

“I was over the moon.”

The couple, who have been together since 2010, then announced that they would be tying the knot on October 12th at Windsor Castle, just like her cousin, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did in May.

In August, Princess Eugenie told Vogue that she wasn’t ‘stressed at all’ in the lead up to her wedding.

“It’s very nerve-wracking because you want it to be perfect but then you realise that you’re going to be with the person you love forever and nothing else really matters,” Eugenie said.

Eugenie’s mother, told the BBC in August that her daughter had all the wedding planning under control.

“Eugenie is very controlled – she is so sorted. She knows exactly what she wants,” she said.

Meanwhile, Jack has been put in charge of the drinks on the night and revealed that he’ll be serving George Clooney’s tequila.

“I’ve not been kept out of all the planning,” Jack told the Daily Mail.

I get to decide some things. I’m in charge of drinks and we’ll be serving Casamigos.”
