Princess Eugenie on March 13, 2024Princess Eugenie is making good on a promise she made late last year to share more about her work as an art gallery director with her social media followers.
In December, Eugenie—who works at Hauser & Wirth in London—wrote on Instagram that she planned on sharing “more of that part of my world with you,” referring to her appreciation of and work in the art space. Though Eugenie is the grandchild of the late Queen Elizabeth, just like Prince William—who will one day be king—Eugenie has never worked for the royal family full-time, nor has her older sister, Princess Beatrice, who is vice president of partnerships and strategy at software company Afiniti. (Before Eugenie signed on at Hauser & Wirth, she worked at an online auction firm.)
Eugenie studied art history and English literature at Newcastle University and has taken her love of art to Hauser & Wirth, joining the gallery’s staff in July 2015, according to Hello!. On March 18, she posted numerous Instagram Stories on her personal page, writing that she had “been to see some incredible exhibitions recently.”
She went on to share numerous snippets from the Jake Grewal exhibition at Studio Voltaire in London, her latest social media post “showcasing my love of art,” she wrote late last year.
Eugenie opened up about her love of art in a 2024 documentary, My National Gallery, which celebrated 200 years of The National Gallery in London. The younger daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson said in the program that she “always wanted to be an artist” as a child, and that she “did art at school.”

The mother of two with husband Jack Brooksbank continued, “I wish I could find my drawings from those moments when I was a student, right in front, studying and looking and learning all about history and art.”
