Princess Eugenie reveals meaning behind unique baby name
Princess Eugenie has announced the arrival of her second child.
Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank have welcomed their second baby boy into the world.
The 33-year-old, who is already a mum to two-year-old August, posted two adorable photos of the couple’s new bundle of joy to her Instagram page.
Sharing the news, Eugenie revealed that their son’s name, Ernest George Brooksbank, is a tribute to “his great-great-great grandfather George, his grandpa George and my grandpa Ronald”.

“Jack and I wanted to share the news that we had our little boy, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank on 30th May 2023 at 8.49 weighing 7.1lbs,” she wrote.
“He is named after his great great great Grandfather George, his Grandpa George and my Grandpa Ronald.
“Augie is loving being a big brother already.”
The King’s niece revealed back in January that she was pregnant with the couple’s second child, posting a cute snap to Instagram of August hugging her baby bump.
"We're so excited to share that there will be a new addition to our family this summer,” she wrote at the time.
Buckingham Palace said the family was “delighted" with the news and August couldn’t wait to become a big brother.
It’s believed little Ernest will take on a ‘Master’ title and he is 13th in line to the throne.
Ernest is the third grandchild for Eugenie’s parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah ‘Fergie’ Ferguson.
Their daughter, Princess Beatrice is also a mum to one-year-old Sienna with her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
