- Will Princess Charlotte inherit the Spencer Tiara? Princess Diana's 1981 wedding tiara, known as the Spencer Tiara, has become an iconic piece of royal history. According to the court jeweler, the tiara was loaned to Diana by her father, and she borrowed the tiara regularly. When Diana's father died in 1992, the family titles, estates, and possessions, including the tiaras, passed to his only son, Earl Charles Spencer.

While the tiara still belongs to Diana's brother, rumors have spread that Princess Charlotte will be the one to inherit the Spencer Tiara. However, the court jeweler claims the eldest son of the Ninth Earl Spencer, Viscount Althorpe, will be the one to inherit it instead. Auction house Sotheby's also confirmed the Spencer Tiara remains in the possession of the Spencer family.
