Princes William and Harry Are Taking Part in the Same Event Tomorrow
The brothers will both congratulate the recipients of the Diana Award.
Prince William and Prince Harry will both be working on the same charity event—however, royal fans shouldn't expect a reunion between the brothers.
Tomorrow, recipients of The Diana Award, which celebrates young people who have made a difference, will be honored in a virtual ceremony. William has written a letter to the recipients, praising their "kindness and compassion," while Harry has reportedly filmed a video that will be played during tomorrow's ceremony.
In William's letter, he describes feeling "heartened" to see how "inspirational" the young award winners have been. He added, "I know my mother, in whose memory you receive the Diana Award today, would be immensely proud of you. I hope this award helps you to further champion your cause and support those around you."
The Diana Award is the only charity that bears Princess Diana's name. Both William and Harry have long supported the charity. In March, William delivered a speech at the Diana Legacy Awards in which he paid tribute to his wife, Kate Middleton. Meanwhile, this September, Harry highlighted The Diana Award while attending events at UN's Climate Week.
William and Harry have found themselves in the middle of what some are calling a "royal rift"—they have not joined forces for an event since they walked side by side at Queen Elizabeth II's funeral in 2022. Prior to that, they were last seen together in July 2021 when they both attended an unveiling of a statue of their late mother in Kensington Palace. This August, the pair both attended the funeral of their uncle Lord Fellowes, but reportedly "ignored" each other. William said Harry's name publicly for the first time in months in October during an interview for the documentary Prince William: We Can End Homelessness.
Although the pair are both continuing their support for The Diana Award at tomorrow's event, it seems that there is still a "rift" between the brothers as the pair send separate messages.
