Prince William had a very special (and unexpected) guest join him for his final day in South Africa following the 4th Annual Earthshot Prize Awards.

On Thursday, the Prince of Wales was pictured hanging out with supermodel Heidi Klum of all people at Kalk Bay Harbour near Cape Town, where the two indulged in a traditional South African barbecue by the sea, known as "braii." Klum dressed casually for the occasion, wearing a baggy black T-shirt and a navy blue baseball cap that repped the tech brand Abalobi, which helps small fishing communities record their catch data.

According to People, William invited to Klum to join him in South Africa so she could learn more about sustainable fishing. Model Winne Harlow and actor Billy Porter were also in attendance for the beach picnic.

The night before, Klum attended the 2024 Earthshot Prize Awards ceremony in a one-shouldered orange gown with a billowy Grecian-style silhouette. During the event, Klum told People that when once she delved "deeper" into William's environmental project, she "learned so many new things."

"Who knew there was sustainable fishing?” Klum said, adding: “I’m so honored to go with him to this place to learn about sustainable fishing. I knew our waters are overfished and they’re polluted and all of these horrible things. But I didn’t know about sustainable fishing. I love that I get to learn more things and hopefully be better in the future. I love doing my part. We should all do our part.”
