Prince William Fans Get a Thrill Seeing Him ‘Causing a Little Mischief’ in Playful Video

Prince William gave fans a thrill with a special video that he filmed with Ted Lasso star Hannah Waddingham.

The actress joined forces with the Prince of Wales for an informational video about the Earthshot Prize, the global challenge he created in 2020 that urges innovators to develop and scale solutions to the environmental concerns facing the modern world.

In addition to raising awareness about the Earthshot Prize’s goals, the video shared on social media by Kensington Palace also served to alert fans to a new documentary about the Prize, called The Earthshot Report, that aired on Sunday, Dec. 15.

An extended version of the promotional video showed Waddingham greeting the 42-year-old royal as he arrived at Alexander Palace in London, England. They noted that, in addition to the venue hosting the first-ever Earthshot Prize awards ceremony, it also hosts the World Darts Championship.

“Should we go in and have a little look and cause some mischief?” Waddingham, 50, invited.

“Yes, I think that’s a great idea,” the prince agreed.

The footage that followed showed the two making their way through the venue until they arrived at a small bar that had a darts board. “I’m feeling equal joy and terror about playing darts with, you know, the future King of England,” Waddingham quipped.

“Ladies first,” William told her. “Then I can see what I’m up against.”

They proceeded to play darts as Waddingham peppered William with questions about the Earthshot Prize, his “obsession” with seaweed and the moment he decided to take action for the environment.

“The future changes we want need to start happening really quite fast now,” William explained. "And so, this decade of change is when the Earthshot Prize is kind of running for. Right now, the focus is highlighting, showcasing, scaling all the amazing solutions that are out there, invest in them, and see them and support them, and use them. Then we will make the earth more sustainable and better for us all going forward.”

After Kensington Palace shared a preview clip of the promotional video on X, formerly Twitter, fans reacted with delight over seeing the prince in a “relaxed” setting, with many gushing over his burst of laughter at Waddingham’s attempt at playing darts.

“William has the best laugh ever 💚🥰,” one fan wrote as another agreed that they “Love williams laugh 😘.”

“I love seeing him relaxed and causing a little mischief,” one X user tweeted.

“Aww, this is so cute! 🥹 Never did I expect to see William and Hannah playing darts together ❤️,” another X user wrote.
