There’s been speculation about their engagement for months now but bookmakers in the UK seem to have the insider scoop on when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will announce it.
According to numerous reports, some UK bookies have decided to suspend all bets for guessing the date of the engagement announcement.
The BBC is also reportedly primed and waiting to be the first to reveal the historic news.
One of the main betting agencies in the UK, Ladbrokes, say they reckon the wedding will take place in 2019.
“Royal watchers would love a Christmas engagement announcement, and as far as we're concerned it's coming imminently,” a spokesperson for Ladbrokes told the Daily Mail.
“Meghan has met her prince charming and it looks like this fairytale is going to end happy ever after.”
Indeed, Meghan has made some big changes in her life recently.
The 36-year-old actress has reportedly quit her role in the hit show Suits and moved from Toronto to London to be with her royal love.
She was recently spotted doing a bit of Christmas shopping in the UK, possibly for the Queen, who she is expected to spend Christmas Day with.
It’s also been reported that the loved-up pair have secured an important blessing before tying the knot.
The Express reports the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby has “no objections, clearing the way for a royal wedding at Westminster Abbey or another Anglican venue in 2018”.
As engagement talk grows louder for the couple, who have been dating since 2016, having a church wedding could have been an issue for Meghan, who divorced her husband Trevor Engelson in 2013.
