Has the Diana doco ruined Charles' plan to make Camilla Queen?

Prince Charles is reportedly furious over the new Diana documentary because it’s thwarted plans he had to make Camilla Queen.

Diana In Her Own Words was aired on Channel4 in the UK last night to a massive audience of 4.1 million viewers.

And according to royal sources, Prince Charles is livid that his dirty laundry from the past has been aired in public again.

The documentary featured tapes filmed during voice coaching sessions Diana took with actor Peter Settelen in 1993.

During the tapes, Diana openly discusses Charles and Camilla’s affair throughout her 11-year marriage to the Prince.

Camilla was out of favour for years however it seems Prince Charles is outraged that just when she seems to be getting back into the public’s good books their affair has been dragged up again.

Speaking to the Express, Joe Little of Majesty Magazine said the tapes would certainly have irked Charles and Camilla.

“It certainly isn’t going to help their cause, because it puts them in a damaging light,” he said.

Author Sally Bedell Smith, who wrote the biography, Prince Charles: The Passions And Paradoxes Of An Improbable Life, agreed wth Joe Little, claiming Diana ‘s voice brought it all back for people who lived through their affair.

“It’s her voice that you are hearing again and in some cases for the first time,” she said.

Indeed Diana brought up a lot of old secrets, which have never been heard before, including details of her and Charles’ “odd” sex life and his affair with Camilla.

“It was odd. Very odd. But there was [a sexual relationship] - it was there, and then it fizzled out about seven years ago,” she said.

“Instinct told me, it was just so odd.

“There was never a requirement for it from his case.

“Sort of a once every three weeks … and I kept thinking...and then I followed a pattern.

“He used to see his lady [Camilla, now Duchess of Cornwall and the Prince Charles’ second wife] once every three weeks before we got married.”
