Pregnant Giannina Gibelli and Blake Horstmann Enjoying 'Complete Relaxation' on Their Babymoon (Exclusive)
The couple, who is expecting their first baby together this spring, are celebrating their babymoon at Sandals Dunn’s River in Jamaica
Giannina Gibelli and Blake Horstmann are enjoying some R&R before becoming first-time parents.
The pregnant Love Is Blind star, 30, and The Bachelorette alum, 34, caught up with PEOPLE during their babymoon stay at Sandals Dunn’s River in Jamaica, where the pair is relaxing and soaking up quality time together before their little one arrives this spring.
The couple says they "feel like royalty" as guests of the resort — beginning with the multiple surprises they were treated to when they arrived at their suite.
"We opened up the door for the cab when we got in and they were just singing with towels and drinks, and I was just like, 'This is it. This is exactly what I wanted.' I wanted to feel like a princess," says Gibelli.
"They really do make you feel like royalty and not like you're not just another name or another statistic. There were balloons, roses on the ground, there were flowers, there were little baby gifts. So that was pretty cool," adds Horstmann.
The couple is enjoying their stay in a "fantastic" suite with an ocean-side view, complete with a "little private tub outside and a private pool," which Horstmann says is "pretty awesome."
During their babymoon, Gibelli and Horstmann have spent time walking the grounds, checking out different restaurants and relaxing in what Gibelli calls the "softest, most beautiful sand."
"We travel a lot, and this just checks off all the boxes. I don't have to leave, which I'm very happy because we're very tired," she says, as the Bachelor Nation star adds they wanted to take the trip to "relax, take in these last few days with complete relaxation before the baby comes."
Gibelli says she's "really grateful" she's had a smooth pregnancy thus far and can "keep traveling."
"I'm very blessed. I check in with my doctors, I tell them everything that I'm doing, and we're good. I feel great. I have energy. I'm not in pain in any way," she continues. "I have been able to make memories in different places and different countries while being pregnant, and I've loved it. I thought I was going to be lethargic or this, and I'm tired, but I'm so happy. I'm so happy that I get to do these things. I haven't stopped. It hasn't stopped me."
The reality star tells PEOPLE she makes sure to keep a few essential items on hand when traveling. "I travel with at least two neck pillows on the plane so that I can use them as lumbar support, or a bed, whatever I need. I have this Elemis lotion that can turn from hot to cold, and it's gentle enough that it's pregnancy-safe. And then I bring my little mini Theragun, just because my back and my legs and my feet will just randomly ache."
The couple, who first shared their exciting baby news in November, already know the sex of their baby on the way and have a name in mind for their little one.
"I think we're pretty much down to two, and we're going to wait until we see Baby H, and then we'll be like, 'Yes, that's the one,' " says Horstmann.
Gibelli says they're also renovating part of their home in preparation for the baby and that she is working with a doula she's "very excited about."
"We had our baby shower, which was just absolutely lovely and I never felt that kind of love before," she adds. "Our family and friends just really educated us and gave us so many tips and tricks, and I learned what tummy time is."
Both Gibelli and Horstmann are looking forward to seeing one another become a parent and embark on this new journey together.
"I'm honestly really excited to see her as a mother," says Horstmann, adding, "I also don't want to sound too ridiculous, but I want to have a little friend that I can play with all the time."
"I always say the little one will be sick of playing with me, rather than the other way around," he laughs.
"It sounds super corny, but it's this little ball of love. It's our love child, literally. So I want to see what characteristics they pick up from each. It's just going to be so much fun," adds Gibelli.
In January 2022, sources confirmed to PEOPLE that the couple's romance flourished on the set of the competition series All Star Shore.
Months later, Gibelli opened up about the relationship, telling E! News, "I've never watched the Bachelor franchise or any of that so I didn't know who he was. He seemed familiar to me and he just flashed his big ol' smile at me and that's how I met him right on the beach."
Horstmann was first introduced to audiences as a contestant on Becca Kufrin's Bachelorette season. After ending the season as a runner-up to Kufrin's now-ex-fiancé Garrett Yrigoyen, he caused quite the stir on Bachelor in Paradise in 2019 due to his pre-show entanglements with Caelynn Miller-Keyes, Kristina Schulman and Hannah Godwin.
As for Gibelli, she gained recognition for appearing on Love Is Blind in 2020. She met and fell in love with contestant Damian Powers, to whom she got engaged. However, the couple later split.
