Super cute: toddlers battle it out in a Judo competition

The ancient martial art of Judo is a contest between two skilled combatants.

They face off with the aim to subdue one another by pinning their opponent to the ground, immobilising them or forcing them into submission by means such as a lock or a choke hold.

Or, if you're a tiny toddler sporting some adorable pigtails, the contest goes more like this - a poorly timed bow to your opponent, an awkward hug, sway back and forth until you fall over, roll around, then jump up and start again.

Twirling around in a circle until you're dizzy and fall down is also a pretty good tactic if you want to confuse your opponent.
