Week 29 of your Pregnancy

You

Your pelvic floor will be feeling the pressure from now on, so make sure you keep up those pelvic floor exercises through the rest of your pregnancy! You are likely to be making more frequent trips to the loo for a wee and night-time trips along with discomfort in bed might contribute to insomnia, a common plague of third-trimester pregnancy.

Baby

Your baby now weighs around 1.25 kilograms and measures around 38 cm. He’s moving around a bit and it can be hard to work out which bit is which – is that an elbow or knee? Head or bottom? His first teeth have developed and are all in place under his gums, ready to start emerging when he is six months old.

His brain is developing all the amazing neurons and he is already learning, absorbing information from his environment; he can hear you and feel you, so don’t forget to talk and sing to your baby and introduce him to some of your favourite music and other sounds; he’ll store it all away in that busy little brain.
