1st: Happy New Year everyone! Wishing you all the best for a fantastic 2013!

2nd: Lewis Carroll's classic tale of Alice in Wonderland is brought to life by The Australian Shakespeare Company. The whole family will love this enchanting production.

4th: Head to the Royal Botanic Garden in Sydney for Wind in the Willows. It's guaranteed to be a treat for all ages! Performances run through until 27 January and
bookings can be made through Ticketek.

5th: The Sydney Festival runs from 5 to 27 January. There's lots to see and do for families and kids of all ages. Check out Sydney Festival for the full Festival program.

9th: Guess who is visiting Brisbane in January? It's Hairy Maclary! And he's bringing all his friends, including Bottomley Potts, Schnitzel von Krumm and Scarface Claw. See them from 9 to 23 January. Details can be found at Queensland Performing Arts Centre.

14th: In Perth Jungle Sports are running a Holiday Roadshow for kids aged 18 months through to 7 years. It's a fun program to keep kids active over the holiday period. You need to register at Jungle Sports.

17th: Get back to nature in the Blue Mountains of NSW and check out the Rainforest Ranger Kids Program at Mount Tomah. It's a great adventure for the kids as they discover ancient plants, animal tracks and nature’s treasures. Bookings are a must!

18th: If you're in Melbourne take your little ones along to Southbank for the MusicPlay Children's Festival. Shows include The Kookaburra Who Stole the Moon, Invisible Me, Carnival of the Animals and Aussie Babes. See the Melbourne Recital Centre for details.

19th: Adelaide families get along to The Festival of Magic at The Bakehouse Theatre for a truly mesmerising array of magic shows and workshops for children of all ages. The Magic Shop has all the info you need.

22nd: Back in Melbourne, don't forget about Mickey's Roadshow! He hits the Melbourne Convention Centre on the 24th of January before moving on to Launceston in Tasmania on the 30th.
