Chicken and cheese lovers will be elated at the news of a KFC crowd favourite making a reappearance on the fast-food giant’s menu.
The fried chicken chain is bringing back its popular Zinger Mozzarella Burger which first featured on menus in 2017.
Loyal fans were sent into a frenzy after the initial launch, celebrating the wildly popular combination of crunchy chicken with spicy Zinger flavouring and stretchy cheese.
Along with a spicy Zinger fillet, the burger will contain crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, tangy tomato sauce and mayonnaise.
The option has returned to tantalise the tastebuds of KFC’s devoted supporters, but they have been warned the decadent burger won’t be around forever.
It first reappeared on menus across the country on Tuesday and will be gone again after September 7.
“We’re excited to bring back the Zinger Mozzarella Burger after it rose to fame during 2017,” KFC Australia chief marketing officer Kristi Woolrych said.
“The Zinger Mozzarella is the burger for all the cheese lovers out there and a level up on our classic Zinger Burger.”
New KFC secret menu item coming
KFC has also teased an “extra special treat” from the Colonel, which it said was “top secret” but customers would be impressed with.
“Keep an eye on our ‘menu’ and you’ll thank us later,” a statement read, subtly hinting at fans to monitor the chain’s secret menu.
