Another man has been brought before the courts over the suspected gangland murder of a father and son who were fatally shot in their car.

Sagar Sagar, 23, is the fourth man to be charged over the alleged double murder of Toufik and Salim Hamze who were gunned down in their red ute in western Sydney.

In the shooting at Guildford early on October 20, 2021, Salim, 18, died in the vehicle. His 64-year-old father died later on at Westmead Hospital.

Sagar briefly faced Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday charged with two counts of accessory after the fact to murder.

He is accused of helping the alleged murderer Suliman Hamza after the shooting.

The Granville man also faces two counts of receiving stolen property, namely a white Hyundai Santa Fe and a black Holden Captiva, and one count of participating in criminal group activity.

He made no application for bail and remains in custody.

Detectives from the State Crime Command's Homicide Squad have established Strike Force Ormerod to investigate the killings that are believed to be gang linked.

Hamza was the second person charged over the shooting after a 20-year-old man was earlier brought before the courts.

In November last year, Hamza was hit with two counts of murder and one count of knowingly directing the activities of a criminal group.

A third man was arrested in April and faces the same charges as Hamza. He cannot be named as he was 16 years old at the time of the shooting.

Sagar will next appear at Parramatta Local Court on July 13.
