Plus-size blogger gets real about sex

Sex can always be awkward - but focus on cellulite, stretch marks, and extra flab and the added insecurity can become overwhelming.

Still, one self-proclaimed body-positive warrior is telling people to let go of their insecurities and enjoy sex, regardless of size.

Plus-size blogger Cheyenne, also known as goofy_ginger on Instagram, states that people who are fat are typically either denied sexuality altogether or have it forced on them as a fetish.

“People assume you have sex with a shirt on and the lights off, which is true for some of us,” Cheyenne states in a post that went viral last year.

“I was so afraid of what I would look like to someone performing cunnilingus, I wouldn’t engage in it. We contort our bodies, hide under covers, or refuse positions because God forbid our partner see we have a belly.”

But nobody’s fooling anyone, Cheyenne states, since partners know what each other look like and still want to have sex - because they find each other attractive.

“Embracing nudity helped me understand this,” the blogger admits. “By taking selfies, lounging, and sleeping completely nude, I grew comfortable enough to share my nakedness with others.”

As proof, Cheyenne’s Instagram page is filled with half-naked selfies, racy sheer snaps, and body-baring bikini pics, all posted alongside empowering, body-positive messages to show how confident and real she is (and how you can be too).

“Your soft belly, jiggly hips, dimpled thighs are beautiful and sexy,” she notes. “That muffin top you once hid? It should be unleashed in all its glory during sex!”

The redhead further believes that you shouldn’t waste yourself on someone who doesn’t give your body the honoUr it deserves. And nobody should worry about not being flexible enough in bed, as sex with anyone comes with its own set of challenges.

“Not all positions work, and that’s OK! There are always alternatives. Just do a quick Google search, and try out some new stuff,” she advises. “Also, firm pillows and lubricant can be quite helpful.”

The blogger confirms that openly discussing sexual needs, embracing our naked bodies, and choosing the right partner can lead to fun, satisfying sex.

“Our bodies have amazing capabilities to give and receive pleasure, and no matter what your fat content is, you deserve to enjoy that pleasure,” she concludes. “So, whether you’re a svelte tigress or a voluptuous vixen, you are allowed to have all the unapologetic, unbridled sex you want!”

The response to her post has been overwhelmingly positive, racking up thousands of likes in less than one day.

“Love love love this post and LOVE YOU for being you,” one woman stated. “From one gorgeous wobbly ginger to another!!”

“I have never read anything that has made me feel so confident in myself and OK with my body,” another user stated. “Thank you! You have no idea the impact you have.”

“I was never able to enjoy sex until I stopped caring what I looked like and realised that the person I am with obviously finds me attractive and nothing else matters,” another woman admitted. “It’s not always easy, but I am finally able to have a healthy and happy sex life.”
