Crack open the champagne, as this week's Standard Theatre Podcast marks our first anniversary of the show!

Coming up in this very special episode, Nancy Durrant and Nick Curtis review Plaza Suite at the Savoy Theatre, starring Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick – and we grab a quick chat with them after opening night.

The Hollywood couple play three different couples in the same upscale NY hotel room in Neil Simon’s easygoing 1968 comedy. But can they pull off their first West End show together?

We head out across London to Shakespeare's Globe and meet critically acclaimed director Ola Ince for her new revival of Othello. Ola tells our chief theatre critic why she decided to relocate the Shakespeare tragedy from 16th century Venice to the Metropolitan Police of the present day.

Staged in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse this is on until April 13.

Plus, Nick and Nick review Till the Stars Come Down at the National Theatre, a show about what happens when you mix a wedding day with a whole load of family secrets and even more vodka. This has an extraordinary ensemble cast, which includes Lisa McGrillis, who will be very recognisable to stars of BBC sitcom Mum.

In news, we discuss the reaction to Shakespeare's Globe artistic director Michelle Terry taking on the title role in Richard III and Hamnet's big screen make-over.
