All About Pink and Carey Hart's Daughter, Willow Sage Hart
Willow Sage is following in the "So What" singer’s footsteps
Pink and Carey Hart became parents in 2011 — and they haven’t looked back since.
The “So What” singer and the former motocross competitor have been married for almost two decades. They welcomed their first child, daughter Willow Sage, on June 2, 2011.
Although becoming a mother wasn’t originally something that was on the singer’s “list of to-dos,” Pink quickly adapted to the role. "I had Willow and, man, that saying of 'watching your heart go walking outside of your body.' It's truly how it feels," she told the Today show in a May 2021 interview.
Opening up to PEOPLE in her February 2023 cover story, the “Just Like Fire” hitmaker admitted that she never pictured herself having children, as she was “terrified” she would be a “terrible mother.”
"But, oh my God, being a mom is the most incredible thing I've ever done. It's shocking how responsible I've become," she explained at the time.
During an interview for PEOPLE’s 2018 Beautiful Issue, Pink opened up about her parenting style.
"I believe in affection," she said. "I believe in needs being met and faith being implemented, and I believe in letting your kids know they can count on you, and that you'll be there."
She added, "I always tell Willow, 'I'm going to teach you the rules so that you'll know how and when to break them.' "
The now 13-year-old is a big supporter of her rockstar mom. In February 2019, ahead of Pink’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, Willow penned a sweet note that showed her pride.
“Willow wrote me a note that said, ‘Mama, this is a big deal. And I’m glad it’s you and not Justin Beaver,’ ” the “Try” singer said during an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. “I was like, that is so random — how does she even know … I don’t know. It was cute. I was like, ‘This must be a big deal.’ ”
Here’s everything to know about Pink and Carey Hart’s daughter, Willow Sage Hart.
She’s a singer
Willow is following in Pink’s musical footsteps.
In 2018, Willow appeared on The Greatest Showman: Reimagined, a tribute album for the 2017 musical movie starring Hugh Jackman. Willow lent her voice to a cover of "A Million Dreams" and its reprise, respectively.
The now-teenager later made her Billboard chart debut at just nine years old thanks to her duet “Cover Me in Sunshine” — alongside none other than her mom. During its first week of release, "Cover Me in Sunshine" garnered two million U.S. streams and sold 11,000 downloads in the week ending on Feb. 18, according to Billboard.
"Willow and I find comfort in music, so we're putting this song out for no other reason than that we hope it brings you sweetness, sunshine and comfort too,” Pink told PEOPLE at the time.
She also joined Pink on stage at the 2024 Democratic National Convention, where they sang her mom's single, "What About Us," together.
She has performed with her mom
Willow is no stranger to the stage, especially when it comes to sharing the spotlight with her mom.
Pink has previously spoken with PEOPLE about her daughter’s passion for gymnastics, and she put her skills to the test in a big way at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards. The mother-daughter duo wowed audiences with a stunning acrobatic performance of acrobatic performance of "Cover Me in Sunshine."
During the opening night of the UK leg of the 2023 Summer Carnival Tour, Willow also joined Pink on stage.
"So proud of Willz to get up on stage w/ mama @pink !!!!! , " proud dad Carey captioned an Instagram video showing WIllow’s performance. "Must be a surreal moment for mama to have w/ her lil girl on stage 😢,"
She works for her mom on tour
While some kids earn pocket money helping out with chores around the house, Willow earns it by heading out on tour with her superstar mom.
Throughout the European dates of the Summer Carnival 2024 tour, Willow has been singing “Cover Me in Sunshine” alongside her mom, and she earned minimum wage for the performances.
“She's very happy with that, and she works her butt off,” Pink told PEOPLE at the Bob Mackie: Naked Illusion evening.
Pink has previously discussed her daughter’s tour salary and how she was teaching her to negotiate.
"Willow has a job on tour," Pink revealed to the Today show in February 2023. "We just had to go over minimum wage, and it's different state to state."
"I said it's about $22.50 a show depending how long I go, if I run over. She goes, 'I'll take $20, it's easier to do the math.' I'm like, 'That's not how you negotiate for yourself,' " she recalled. "I'm like, 'You'll take $25 so it's easier math.' "
In May 2021, Pink opened up to PEOPLE about being a rock star parent and raising kids while on the road.
"Touring with kids is impossible — and I did the impossible. For a while there were a lot of other pop stars that were emailing me and calling me for the playbook on how to tour with kids, so I wrote a playbook for other moms," she said. "You just keep going. I'm just thinking about: 'Am I raising a kind person? What's it like to be my kid?' "
She inspired one of her mom’s songs
In 2016, a then-4-year-old Willow appeared alongside her mom and dad in the music video for “Just Like Fire”, a song featured in Alice Through the Looking Glass.
"She's my inspiration for everything," Pink told PEOPLE of the song at the time. "I think of little girls like her when I'm doing something like this because I want it to be fun."
“I think of that spirit Willow has, where she’s totally uninhibited and wants to dance around naked,” she added. “And that’s how I go into the song.”
She aspires to work on Broadway
Willow has found her passion on the stage, and she wants to be a Broadway star.
In May 2024, the proud mom spoke to PEOPLE about her daughter’s career aspirations.
“She's got a voice, man," she said. "She's a little bird. She wants to do Broadway and then be a trauma surgeon.”
She has a younger brother
Willow is a proud big sister. On Dec. 26, 2016, Pink and Carey welcomed their second child, son Jameson Moon.
Willow and Jameson have a close sibling bond, and they both inherited their parents’ mischievous spirits.
To celebrate April Fool’s Day 2023, Carey helped Jameson play a hilarious prank on his sister. “Jamo and I got Willz good on April fools w/ the old “zip tie on the sink spray nozzle” trick 🤣🤣,” the father-of-two captioned an Instagram clip of the prank.
In the video, Willow can be seen walking over to the kitchen sink, and rinsing something off when she's asked to. When she turns on the faucet, she immediately gets sprayed in the face with water.
"Happy Fools Day!" Jameson yells and laughs in the background.
