Pharrell Williams and Nigo Dine for New Joopiter Auction
On Thursday evening inside an otherwise nondescript building in TriBeCa, Pharrell Williams hosted a cocktail hour and dinner party in celebration of the latest sale for his action company Joopiter, from Nigo. Stepping into the level level space, guests were greeted by racks of Human Made T-shirts, with New York branding across them, before they made their way downstairs to the main attraction: Nigo’s collection.
On display were the many one-of-a-kind pieces Nigo is offering up for action, including his oversize orange Hermès Birkin bag, several pairs of never-worn Levis, Louis Vuitton trunks and shoe-carrying bags and more.

Futura requested to be photographed in front of the McDonald’s shirt hanging from the wall. (He’d worked at the first McDonald’s in New York back in the day.) “96th Street and Broadway,” he said. “It was 51 years ago. It was my first legitimate gig, working for a big company. I had a great experience.”
Futura, who said he’s known Nigo for at least 25 years, was one of several art-world figures on hand to see the collection, which is named “From Me to You” after The Beatles. KAWS, Mickalene Thomas, Tyler Mitchell and Cooke Maroney were also there, as were a handful of celebrities, including Justin Timberlake and Cara Delevingne.
Timberlake kept his red-tinted sunglasses on all night, as well as his collar-popped beige top coat.
“How’s the fam?” a guest asked him as they hugged.
“Fam’s great,” Timberlake replied, before indulging photographers for several snaps.
After taking in the lot and swirling Grey Goose martinis, guests sat down upstairs amidst a sprawl of Diptyque candles for dinner.
