Last night, Cynthia Nixon posted her lobster dinner to Instagram, and just like that, PETA was on her.

The photo showed the Sex and the City star, 58, sitting outside a restaurant with a plate of food before her. There was a boiled lobster with packs of butter jammed between its claws on the table, as well as an ear of corn and an iced tea.

"When your lobster brings its own side of butter 🦞," Cynthia joked in the caption.

PETA quickly replied, "There's nothing funny about killing, eating, and mocking an individual 💔🦞"

"Lobsters, like dogs, cats, and humans, feel pain. Please leave them off your plate and where they belong — in the sea."

PETA's Instagram comment states lobsters, like dogs, cats, and humans, feel pain. They advocate not eating lobsters

So far, Cynthia hasn't responded to PETA, but others made their feelings known in the comments.
