Facebook users are having their minds blown after finding out how to use their clothes drying racks properly.
A Facebook user took to a cleaning group and shared a photo of her clothes horse which featured two black plastic attachments, one at the top and one at the bottom.
"OK anyone know what this is for on the clothes dryer?" they wrote.
"I always wondered the same haha," one user commented.
"I have the exact same and always wondered what it’s for too hahaha," another added.
"Omg I just bought one with the same thing & I have no idea what it’s for!" someone else wrote.
Thankfully, many other users had the answer: "Socks and undies and is a legendary space saver," one user shared.
"And the black things down the bottom are for shoes," another revealed.
"Mind blown... thank you," one shocked user joked.
Others thought they were perhaps for holding coat hangers.
Game-changing steamer hack
Another game-changing hack was recently shared on Facebook with one user sharing the genius way she removes stickers from walls that had been stuck on for seven years.
Belinda shared that she used a clothes steamer to remove the stickers without damaging the walls.
“5 years ago we renovated our current home and wallpaper needed to be removed from the bedrooms; I googled how to remove wallpaper and steaming gave the best results,” Belinda tells Yahoo Lifestyle.
“You can hire a machine from Bunnings but at the time I had a different clothes steamer - it worked a treat.”
She opted for a handheld option from Kmart, after her tenants at an investment property who wanted to remove stickers that had clung to the walls for years.
“When this little project came up I knew I had to get another steamer,” Belinda says. “I googled clothes steamers and was surprised you could buy a small handheld device. The water chamber is only small but after a few refills, our task was complete!”
The insane hack unsurprisingly was a hit with fellow hack and decor enthusiasts, who were astounded at the easy, and cost-effective solution to such a pervasive problem.
“Perfect!” one person wrote.
“Now that is a genuine hack!” another admired.
Another called it ‘clever’ while another wrote: “What a great idea”.
One woman who owned the same device called it an ‘all-rounder’, reporting it works effectively on clothes and can even replace a hair straightener!
