Payback: OU's Mark Andrews trolls Ohio State's Nick Bosa with flag plant celebration

Who knew that a flag plant in an Oklahoma-Ohio State game would end up being an ongoing story in the NFL?

A few years ago, Baker Mayfield planted the Oklahoma flag on Ohio State’s field after the Sooners beat the Buckeyes. Then this season, when San Francisco 49ers defensive end and former Ohio State star Nick Bosa dragged down Mayfield, he got up and mimicked that celebration as payback.

Mayfield’s old Sooners teammate and current Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews was paying attention.

After Andrews scored against the 49ers on Sunday, he went to the back of the end zone and unmistakably acted like he was waving a flag and then planting it in the turf. Payback for the payback.

Mayfield’s flag plant was an iconic moment in his Heisman Trophy season. And now it’s an ongoing battle in the NFL, too.
