People on TikTok are in awe of Patrick Ta’s foundation palette — here’s why it’s great

Makeup trends come and go, but one thing will never go out of style: Great skin. With that constantly in mind, finding the perfect foundation is on every beauty lover’s ultimate to-do list. Some may find that a task easier said than done, especially with so many products on the market. Luckily, TikTok may have just found your makeup holy grail in the Patrick Ta foundation palette.

The viral product duo includes a buildable medium-coverage cream foundation and a satin-finish setting powder. Originally launched in late 2022, the award-winning product promises weightless coverage from the cream foundation, while the matching air-spun powder mattifies skin and blurs the appearance of pores. At $52, it is an investment — but TikTok users insist it’s well worth the dough.

Thoughtfully created, the palette includes a small window to cover the cream foundation while using the powder, preventing excess powder from sticking to the formula. The foundation palette is available in 24 wide-ranging shades and undertones from fair light to deep.

The hype on TikTok is fierce, with beauty lovers of all skin types and tones praising the product’s performance. Videos tagged with #patricktafoundation have more than 10.4 million views on the platform — and you aren’t likely to find a negative sentiment in the bunch.

“This is the most skin-like foundation I think I’ve ever used,” TikTok beauty reviewer @chanellegarrow said in her review of the product.

“I was blending it out, but I couldn’t even see where I had just blended out because it just melted into my skin,” TikTok reviewer @bemerri2 said in her video review. “I cannot believe how good this is…It feels like you are literally painting a filter on your face.”

TikTok user @ferchugimenez praised the product for its ability to even out skin tone while still allowing your skin’s natural beauty to shine.

“I used to be extremely insecure about my acne, but I feel like I’m finally in a place where I feel confident in it. And it’s makeup like this that has helped me so much with it,” she says in her TikTok video, adding, “I can even out my skin tone so I can tone down the redness a little bit…My skin looks so pretty and glowy, but you can still see my acne through it — and I love it.”

Many of the reviewers specify you should apply the product with a brush rather than a beauty blender. Patrick Ta sells a Dual-Ended Complexion Brush for that very reason, which matches perfectly with the cream and powder product.

The foundation palette isn’t the only duo product Patrick Ta sells. The beauty brand also has a Major Headlines Double-Take Crème & Powder Blush Duo and a Major Sculpt Crème Contour & Powder Bronzer Duo to complete your flawless look.
