Anyone who is a regular meal-prepper, keeps a large amount of leftovers, or needs containers for school lunches, then this set of 17 - yes 17 - food containers from Bunnings has your name written all over it.

Parents have been going crazy for the set that you can buy from the homeware store for just $6.98.

“Not a markdown but an amazing find at an incredible price I could not wait to share,” one mum wrote, posting some photos of the containers to Facebook.

“Seventeen storage containers for $6.98 at Bunnings. That works out to be roughly 40c per container.”

Plenty of people also shared how they were able to organise their entire pantry using the containers.

Easily storing things like rice, flour, pasta and other lose ingredients, the boxes come in a variety of sizes.

“Do you live in a house where containers run away with the little spoons,” one person wrote online recommending the set.

“I think a trip to the local hardware store is in order,” another said.

However there were plenty of environmentally-conscious people who warned against the cheap plastic containers, that might not last all that long.

“After you open the container about 15 to 20 times, the seal is gone,” was one comment.

“Are these the ones where the lids split at the corners when you're pressing them on,” another person wrote.

“The seals on these things will be busted in six weeks and clogging some poor turtle's gullet,” another warned.
