Yahoo Lifestyle Paramore's Hayley Williams Thinks It's 'So Lame' That Fans Are Involved in 'Stan-War Drama'

On Tuesday, July 23, the Paramore bandleader, 35, shared a series of Instagram Stories, where she shared why she believed stan wars are "annoying" and how "happy" she is that her band "is not really in the pop world."
"witnessing stan wars makes me so happy pmore is not really in the pop world. i just get to enjoy the good s--- thats come out this year and im sorry some of yall cant thats gotta be damn tough," Williams captioned the first Instagram Story, before launching into a series of videos, which have now been deleted but were captured by fans and posted to Reddit.
In-between changing her outfit after her night one performance at the Eras Tour in Hamburg, the "Misery Business" artist began her two-minute speech to fans.
“Something I’ve been thinking about a lot, and why I don’t really love it [the internet]… Especially in the music world, like when it comes, to like, music, whether it’s the pop girls or any scene, really. People only give a f--- about numbers now, and stats. And that is so lame. It’s very fun, don’t get me wrong. It’s sick. We’ve had a No. 1 album and top this and that albums, yes. That s--- is great…,” Williams said.
Once she swapped her look for a sweatshirt, she continued: “But I just remember a time when that was not so important, and that also wasn’t like a gotcha for a stan-war type of situation. Anyway, I just think it’s really f---ing annoying… My side of the internet, which is basically not really the internet. Where I just get to support all the pop girls. Maybe that’s privilege. because I’m not a pop girl, but I just think everyone should cool it and let people make really great music and s---."
Williams concluded her treatise saying that she's "over it."

Paramore is still in the midst of opening the Eras Tour in Europe. The band is set to perform the final show in Hamburg, Germany tonight, before the group travels onto Munich’s Olympiastadion for gigs on Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28.
The band will perform with Taylor Swift through a fifth and final show at Wembley Stadium in London on Tuesday, Aug. 20.
