'Parade' Will Be at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade: Follow Us for Behind-the-Scenes Access!

It's just not turkey day without the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!

Now in its 98th year, the beloved annual tradition will take over the streets of New York City once again this week, including all the festive features viewers have come to know and expect: giant balloons, elaborate floats, famous performers and (of course) Santa Claus himself.

In fact, this year's parade boasts more of the above than ever before, with 17 character balloons (including Minnie Mouse for the very first time), 22 floats—such as the Bronx Zoo's brand new "Wondrous World of Wildlife" float—15 heritage and novelty balloons, over 700 clowns, and 11 marching bands.

Parade will be there to capture the sights and sounds of the day, follow along on Instagram!

Hosted by Today's Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, and Al Roker, the parade will feature star-powered performances from the likes of Jimmy Fallon & the Roots, Charli D'Amelio, Idina Menzel and Joey McIntyre, just to name a few, in addition to the Radio City Rockettes and the Broadway shows Death Becomes Her, Hell's Kitchen and The Outsiders. Actress Alison Brie will get things started by cutting the ribbon at the opening of the parade.

The 2024 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 28, at West 77th Street and Central Park West, and will air on NBC. You can also catch behind-the-scenes moments on Parade's Instagram throughout the day!
