Pamela Anderson Rocks Bare Face at 2024 Gotham Awards, Says Makeup 'Doesn't Really Make Sense' for Her (Exclusive)
The actress told PEOPLE on the red carpet that her beauty philosophy is all about "being brave"
Pamela Anderson brought her glow to the Gotham Awards.
The former Baywatch star, 57, attended the 2024 Gotham Film Awards at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City on Monday, Dec 2, donning a strapless butter yellow gown with a large bow in the back. She kept her accessories simple with diamond studs, no makeup, and hair long and loose.
Anderson — who is nominated for her role in The Last Showgirl — spoke to PEOPLE exclusively about what it felt like wearing makeup for the film even though she now regularly opts for a makeup-free lifestyle off-screen.
"I mean — I wear — I love to wear makeup too sometimes," she told PEOPLE while walking the red carpet, adding, "It has a time and a place. I just feel in my personal life, it just didn't really make sense."
As for what beauty means to her, it's all about what comes from the inside.
"Being brave and living your dreams. It's never too late," she told PEOPLE.

Anderson first debuted her natural glow at the Isabel Marant fashion show on Sept. 28, 2023 during Paris Fashion Week, where she donned a vibrant yellow tank dress, hair falling loosely below her shoulders. She told Vogue France she didn't want to "compete with the clothes,” when explaining her decision to wear no makeup at the time.
