The Bachelor host Osher Günsberg has announced he and his wife, Audrey Griffen, are expecting their first baby together.
The excited dad-to-be took to his Instagram page last night to share the happy news with his 100,000 followers.
“We are very happy to introduce you to the newest member of our family, joining us late August 2019,” Osher wrote, alongside a scan of their unborn bub.
“Please meet “Chickpea”, the person behind the last three months of @audreygriffen’s surprise day-naps and a mysterious aversion to her favourite Ramen restaurant.
“All four of us are over the moon and looking forward to meeting this wonderful young human.”
The 44-year-old went on to gush about his wife of nearly two years and her daughter, Georgia, from a previous relationship.
“For me, meeting Audrey saved my life,” he said.
“Meeting Georgia gave my life a purpose and direction that I never expected.
“These two wonderful women have given me so much already, they’ve helped me heal and grow – and now to have the chance to share with them the experience of bringing up a child together is just incredible. Now, it’s off to provide on-call back rubs and to fetch ginger tea when needed.”
Audrey and Osher met on the set of The Bachelor back in 2015 and married in June 2017.
Osher has previously opened up about his struggles with his mental health and said he’s been dealing with anxiety since 2007.
In an article for Ten Daily, Osher said that after years of treatment, which included antipsychotic drugs, exposure therapy and chats with a psychologist, he’s thankfully ‘okay’ at the moment.
He thanked his wife for her constant support over the years and hoped his openness about his experience with mental illness would help others in a similar position.
He also credited Audrey for bringing him back from the edge, telling the Daily Telegraph last year that he was so grateful ‘for all she has done’.
