Oscar nominee confirms wife's early death
Demian Bichir has confirmed the sudden death of his wife Stefanie Sherk.
The Oscar-nominated star took to Instagram on Wednesday evening to confirm the tragic news that the 37-year-old actress and model had passed away ‘peacefully’ on April 20.
The cause of the Canadian star’s early death has not yet been revealed.
The A Better Life actor admitted the family are suffering ‘inconceivable pain’ from their loss and thanked everyone for their prayers and understanding whilst they grieve.
Demian remembered the Valentines Day actress as ‘angelical and talented’ and said she will be sorely missed.

In his emotional post he revealed the toll the death of his ‘beloved and loving wife’ has taken on family and friends.
“It has been the saddest and toughest time of our lives and we don’t know how much time it will take for us to overcome this pain,” he wrote.
“We will hold Stefanie in our hearts forever.”
He also expressed his wish for privacy in the ‘incredibly difficult times’.
Other Hollywood stars have rushed to console the doting husband, leaving comments of support and condolences on the heartbreaking post.
Diane Kruger, who starred alongside Demian in The Bridge offered the actor her condolences.
“Oh Demian, I’m so sorry I had no idea,” she commented. “I’m sending you so much love in this difficult time.”
Another former colleague, British star Richard E. Grant, added three broken heart emojis to the heartbreaking post, and Perez Hilton also expressed his support.
Stefanie had recently filmed the horror movie Grudge along with Andrea Riseborough and John Cho, which is due for release later this year.
