Oreo Brings Back Churro Cookies 5 Years After Releasing Them as a Mystery Flavor
The limited-edition Churro Oreos combine churro-flavored cream with fried dough-flavored cookies
The latest Oreo flavor has sugar, spice and everything nice.
On Wednesday, the beloved cookie company announced that Churro Oreos will be available nationwide at the end of March. Churro Oreos sandwich churro-flavored cream between fried dough-flavored golden cookies.
The cinnamon-sugar cookies are coming to grocery stores on March 27 — but this isn’t the first time the flavor is on shelves.
The snack brand introduced churro-flavored cookies in 2019 as a Mystery Oreo. At the time, the cookies were packaged with an ambiguous white label and looked identical to regular Oreos with chocolate-colored cookies and vanilla-colored cream. Between September and November of that year, fans were able to guess the flavor of the unmarked cookies for a chance to win $50,000.
There are several other new Oreo flavors to try this month which also happen to be inspired by other desserts like the Churro Oreos.

Dirt Cake Oreos and Tiramisu Oreo Thins hit supermarkets on March 4.
The Dirt Cake Oreos reimagine the childhood-favorite treat made with layers of pudding and crushed Oreos to resemble "dirt.” The nostalgic dessert includes two chocolate Oreo cookies (topped with gummy worm-inspired sprinkles), a layer of chocolate creme and wafer crumbs. They are a limited-edition flavor.
The new Thins combine tiramisu-flavored cream with chocolate cookies. Luckily, the new Oreo Thins cookies are a permanent addition to the brand’s portfolio, so there is no rush to try them.
