One Direction member teases reunion
Niall Horan says he isn’t opposed to a One Direction reunion, teasing fans of the disbanded group.
The ex-boy band member responded to whether or not a reunion would ever happen, saying it was a question that he gets asked “nine times a day for the last six years”.
“There’s never been a conversation about it,” he told The Project’s Georgie Tunny.
“So I know as much as you.”
Ms Tunny pressed him further, asking if it was something he would like to happen.
“As Harry said, I would never say no,” he replied.
Mr Horan was referring to comments made just weeks before by fellow bandmate Harry Styles.
“I think I would never say never to that,” Mr Styles said on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
The band has been on hiatus since 2016 and the five former members have formed their own music careers, leaving fans wondering if there will ever be a reunion.
Mr Horan also took the time during his session on The Project to talk about his desire to be “called an honorary Australian”.
“I would come to Australia every year for the whole month of January, as we would generally tour Australia in like February,” he said.
“Love Melbourne, in particular. And this is a place that I’ve got a real strong bond with.”
Mr Horan said he was “most pleased” that his upcoming tour for his latest album would bring him back to Australia.
“I feel like I’ve made my favourite stuff that I’ve made and hopefully millions around the world agree,” he said.
“What makes this record incredibly special to me, is it’s a reflection of where I am in my life today as a person, as a musician and, of course, as a songwriter.”
