Olly Murs quit alcohol for one year and couldn't toast his engagement
Olly Murs has revealed that he ditched alcohol for a year and couldn't even toast his own engagement.
The X Factor star said he was "not someone who has ever struggled with drink" but wanted to challenge himself to see if he could go 12 months without a tipple.
And he has now reached his target of 365 booze-free days.

"I've not been drinking for a year," Murs, 38, told MailOnline.
He added that it was "just a personal thing", adding: "I like little victories."
Explaining that he had wanted to challenge himself, Murs said: "I just think sometimes drinking can lead to bad s*** happening."
He also admitted that "sometimes I can be a bit mad".
'Army Of Two' singer Murs said the only time he really missed alcohol was when he and his girlfriend Amelia Tank got engaged and he couldn't celebrate with a glass of something.
The singer and bodybuilder Tank got together after spending time together in the gym while Murs was recovering from a knee operation back in 2019.
Earlier this summer, the hitmaker announced that he had popped the question and that Tank had said yes.
He proposed to her on the beach, with Tank's mother and younger brother looking on.
The Starstruck host shared a picture of the couple embracing on a clifftop, along with a diamond ring emoji and the caption: "04.06.2022 Amelia Tank."
Murs found fame after competing in The X Factor in 2009.
