Olivia Munn and John Mulaney Welcomed Their Second Child Via Gestational Surrogate
The couple are already parents to a 2-year-old son, Malcom.
Surprise! Olivia Munn and John Mulaney are now officially a family of four.
On Sunday, the couple announced the arrival of their second child, a daughter named Méi June Mulaney, with a heartwarming post on Instagram. "Méi June Mulaney came into the world September 14, 2024, the year of the dragon🐉," Munn captioned a sweet photo of her and Mulaney holding their new baby girl in the hospital.
Munn—who was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and underwent four surgeries (including a double mastectomy and hysterectomy) as a result—revealed that she wasn't able to physically carry her daughter. "I had so many profound emotions about not being able to carry my daughter. When I first met our gestational surrogate we spoke mother to mother. She showed me so much grace and understanding, I knew I had found a real-life angel," the actress continued, adding: "Words cannot express my gratitude that she kept our baby safe for 9 months and made our dreams come true."
She concluded her post by sharing the meaning behind her daughter's name. "I am so proud of my little plum, my little dragon for making the journey to be with us," Munn continued. "My heart has exploded."
Munn and Mulaney are already parents to a 2-year-old son, Malcolm Hiệp Mulaney, who they welcomed on Nov. 24, 2021. And the news of Méi's arrival comes just two months after the couple tied the knot in July at friend's home in upstate New York.
