Nuggets shut down practice facility after positive coronavirus tests

The Denver Nuggets closed their practice facility as a result of positive coronavirus tests within the team’s traveling party, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The team shut down its facility in Denver on Saturday. It’s unclear when the Nuggets will reopen the facility.

Teams and players are starting to travel to Orlando as part of the NBA’s attempt to restart its season. The league intends to restart July 30.

As part of that restart, NBA players are being tested for coronavirus. A number of players — like Jabari Parker — have tested positive, and are quarantining in hopes of playing once the season resumes. Others, like DeAndre Jordan, have opted out of the season.

No other team has closed its facility yet, though that could come depending on how many players test positive for coronavirus in the coming days.

At 43-20, the Nuggets ranked third in the Western Conference when the season halted in March.
