Aussies eligible for NSW’s Dine and Discover vouchers will be able to double the amount if they use the voucher at certain venues.

The NSW Government has officially rolled out its $100 Dine and Discover vouchers, which include two $25 vouchers to be spent on dining and another two $25 vouchers to be spent on entertainment.

But those who spend their vouchers at any venue owned by the Australian Venue Company (ABC), which include Sydney-based bar and cocktail destinations Cargo, Kingsleys at Woolloomooloo, The Loft and Bungalow8, will receive an additional $25 credited to them.

“Redeem your $25 ‘Dine & Discover NSW’ voucher at 1 of 10 AVC venues and we’ll double your fun with an additional $25 to spend in-house,” the company said on its website.

AVC’s NSW venues include Bungalow8, Cargo, Kingsleys Woolloomooloo, The Loft, Manly Wine, The Rook, Untied, The Winery, and Beer Deluxe Albury.

AVC’s move comes months after The Sydney Collective, which owns iconic institutions such as The Morrison Bar & Oyster Room, The Imperial, Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel, announced a similar scheme.

“We’ll be doubling the value of the New South Wales Government’s $25 dining and entertainment Dine & Discover vouchers across all eight of our venues,” Sydney Collective stated on its website.

“Once you’ve received your voucher, swing on into Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel, The Morrison Bar & Oyster Room, the Republic Hotel, the Imperial, Park House Mona Vale, Northies in Cronulla or Balcony Bar & Oyster Co in Byron Bay – and unlock double the fun.”

How to get your extra $25

You’ll need to download the AVC app in order to get the additional $25.

The app also gives a $10 welcome credit for new users, and allows you to order through the app and pay directly from your phone, according to the AVC website.

You’ll be able to use the app at more than 60 pubs across Australia.

However, the vouchers are only redeemable at 10 AVC venues mentioned above.

“To get your extra $25, download and sign up to the AVC app,” the company stated.

“Then when you come to the venue, we’ll give you $25 credit to spend on the app!”

To use the Sydney Collective’s extra $25 vouchers, all you need to do is “swing into any of our venues” between Monday to Thursday.

However, the hospitality group stated there will be some ‘blackout’ periods – largely on Fridays and weekends – where customers won’t be able to use the double-up offer.

During these times, only the NSW Government vouchers will be available.

Only one NSW Government voucher can be used at one time. They cannot be spent on gambling, tobacco or alcohol.
