No-sew hack will revitalize any old pair of jeans

This jeans hack will spice up your stale, old pair.

Desiree Chacon, AKA TikTok’s desireechaconn, loves fashion and sewing. With a clever eye and skillful hand, Chacon upgrades old pieces to give them new life. She has made face masks out of scrap fabrics, upcycled a duster jacket into a blazer and skirt and even designs her own sewing patterns.

But her near-effortless trick for upgrading a plain pair of jeans might be a stroke of genius. The best part is that there are sew and no-sew options — so luckily no needles or sewing machine are required to revamp your jeans.

Chacon takes two strips of ostrich feather embellishments. One strip is black and the other is white. She measures the ankles of a pair of black, high-waisted jeans. Then she cuts the strips to size, layering them up to create a black and white fringe. Next, she turns the pants inside out and sews the fringe just above the ankle seam. But if sewing isn’t an option, you can easily glue or pin the fringe in place.

When she turns the pants inside out and puts them on, the embellishment peaks out just above her sneakers. Chacon struts in the upgraded jeans. The fringe provides a nice touch of movement as she walks. It’s both chic and festive.

“This is so fun. Omg,” one TikTok user wrote.

“This is so cute. I love,” another said.

“These are dope,” one person added.
