One of the most bonding things about lockdown is how we all seemed to gravitate towards the same things: Baking sourdough and banana bread became the norm in kitchens across the country and Zoom quizzes replaced evenings at the pub.

But it wasn’t only our hobbies and activities that synced up, what we were buying seemed to start to match up too.

Lyst, the global fashion search platform, has compiled a report that ranks fashion’s hottest brands and products over the past few months.

To compile the results, Lyst analysed the online shopping behaviour of more than nine million shoppers a month searching, browsing and buying fashion across 12,000 designers and stores.

The formula behind The Lyst Index takes into account global Lyst and Google search data, conversion rates and sales, as well as brand and product social media mentions and engagement statistics worldwide over a three month period.

And the number one brand that came out on top? Our trusted sportswear favourites, Nike.

Lyst reported the brand saw a 75% increase in digital sales during the lockdown period, presumably as we all invested in running and cycling gear for our newfound hobbies.

And, rather than keeping all their heightened profits to themselves, the global brand pledged $40 million to organisations furthering social justice.

So, if you haven’t filled your wardrobes with enough Nike products already, we’ve picked out a few of our favourite products from the Nike sale.

Plus, with gyms having just reopened across England, we now need workout wear more than ever.
