Nicolas Cage annulment story takes messy turn

Following reports that Nicolas Cage is filing for an annulment just four days after his Las Vegas wedding, TMZ says the annulment document claims the actor was unable to understand his own actions.

The Oscar winner married a woman suspected to be girlfriend Erika Koike on Saturday, before TMZ reports he filed for an annulment just four days later.

The document TMZ cites allegedly states: “(Erika) suggested to (Nicolas) that they should marry, (he) reacted on impulse and without the ability to recognize (sic) or understand the full impact of his actions.”

It was also mentioned that Koike suggested the bizarre nuptials, a claim which flies in the face of footage which surfaced of the pair applying for a wedding license at a courthouse days before the reported annulment.

In the footage a seemingly-drunk Cage says “I’m not doing it”, to which the bride-to-be responds: “I didn’t ask you to”.

Further reasons for the annulment cited by TMZ’s document were an unidentified relationship Koike had and a criminal history that had not been disclosed.

In the video, Cage is also heard saying, “she’s got a drug dealer as a boyfriend”.

The document is said to justify the annulment citing “such conflict in personalities and dispositions that are so deep as to render the two incompatible in marriage.”

The actor has been married three times before, but a four-day marriage would set the star a new record.

The actor’s previous spouses are Patricia Arquette, Lisa Marie Presley and Alice Kim.

His wedding with Kim busted up in 2016 after 12 years, and it looks like this time the actor is planning to nip it in the bud.

Footage of the courthouse scene initially sparked speculation of a possible marriage when released exclusively by the Daily Mail.

The video was said to be filmed inside a Las Vegas courthouse, and shows Cage approaching a row of service desks before disappearing around the corner with his soon-to-be wife.

An eyewitness told the Daily Mail of the scene: “’The whole time he was yelling ‘she is going to take all my money’ and ‘her ex is a druggy, her ex is a druggy’.”

An eyewitness is quoted as describing Cage as ‘very out of it’ and ‘most likely drunk’, and boy we bet he wish he really had left Las Vegas before things got so messy.
