Honey Badger comes out of hiding with new hairstyle
After weeks of keeping a low profile following his bombshell Bachelor finale, the ‘Honey Badger’ Nick Cummins, decided to finally show face and appeared at this year’s Melbourne Cup.
But stepping into the Mumm marquee in the birdcage, there was something very different about the former rugby star who had scrubbed up in a paisley blue blazer and Akubra hat.
His signature curly locks were nowhere to be seen, however despite first appearances, he hadn’t actually lopped them off.
Instead, Nick had simply pulled his blond hair back into a neat man-bun which he tucked underneath his hat – perhaps a new style for a new chapter in his post-realty TV life.
Generally, the Melbourne Cup is one of the first occasions where the Bachelor and his chosen lady get to parade their new romance.
However, given Nick failed to choose either of his two finalists, the rugby star instead treated the occasion as just another boys’ day out.

“Right-o, here we are, we’ve got the bag of fruit (suit) on, dressed up like pet lizards we’re looking the bit,” the Aussie larrikin posted to his Instagram story earlier in the day.
“We’ve just got to play the part which is always the hard bit, we’re going to spin a few yarns, have a couple of sherbets and make a few bad decisions,” he continued before filming himself at the Bumble marquee surrounded by ladies as they cheered on the 3pm race.
Interestingly, Nick was nowhere to be seen at last weekend’s Derby Day which was attended by his final ladies Brittany Hockley and Sophie Tieman, along with fellow finalist Cass Wood.
The trio put on a united front and stepped out looking as glam as ever in the iconic black and white dress code.
Both Brittany and Sophie stunned in fitted white dresses paired with black hats, while Cass opted for a monochrome floral number teamed with a delicate headband.
The public appearance comes after Channel Ten confirmed Cass as one of the cast members of Bachelor In Paradise next year, alongside Brooke Blurton.
