He fled Australia after a bombshell Bachelor finale, but Nick Cummins couldn’t get away from his problems on the Kokoda trail in Papua New Guinea.
The 31-year-old rugby union star bumped into a group of Aussies on his escape trip, with one of the men in the group telling Hit 105’s Stav, Abby and Matt, that the Honey Badger was surrounded by ‘beautiful girls’.
“There were a number of young ladies on his trip that he was with,” Kai from Zahra’s Quest told the radio hosts.
“Potentially maybe there’s more fish in the sea for him.
“There were a number of beautiful girls.”
Kai went on to say that while they probed Nick on the finale, he was ‘keeping things quite close to his heart’ and was ‘pretty tight-lipped about the whole situation’.
The Honey Badger’s group contains about 20 people, with Kai claiming the ‘weight was leaning towards females’.
“A couple of the boys were trying to get other things out of him, like jokes and whatnot,” Kai continued.
“One of the guys tried to get the Timbuktu joke out of him but he got shut down real quick.”
The Aussie man said Nick probably has another day or two left on his trail, as he raises money for a domestic violence charity in Papua New Guinea.
Nick flew to Papua New Guinea just before the final episode of The Bachelor showed him dump both finalists, Brittany Hockley and Sophie Tieman.
Last night, The Project aired an interview with the rugby star, which was filmed before he left for the Kokoda trail.
During the segment, Nick was slammed on Twitter after he said if he was to ever see the girls again, he’d buy them a drink ‘for old times’ sake’.
“It hit me with a fair bit of a thunderbolt,” Nick said when Lisa asked him how he knew he wasn’t going to end up with either of the women.
“It was just like, you know what? Out of respect to these women, if I can’t stand here right now and say, ‘I’m picking her, and I love her,’ if I can’t say that, why would I start something with someone?”
