And now it seems we have one.
While we all hoped Nick would have at least given either Brittany Hockley or Sophie Tieman a chance at forming a relationship, it seems the real reason he chose not to commit was due to contractual obligations that continue after the show wraps up.

Speaking to ABC’s Radio National on Wednesday, the former rugby star accidentally let slip that if he had chosen a winner, he would have had to date – or at least pretend to be dating – her for at least three months, as per the rules of his contract.
“Me just saying ‘yes’ and going through the motions and dragging some girl through all this media about how we’re in love and then three months down the track after the contract’s over, um, we’re allowed to break up,” the Honey Badger said.
“I’m not going to drag them through that rubbish … and break her heart. Bugger that.”
After the considerable backlash following the finale episode, Nick went on to say how ‘disappointed’ he was “that people are so brainwashed” by the show.
“You’re not going to get your fairytale ending every time,” the 31-year-old declared.
Interestingly, former Bachelorette Sophie Monk also happened to split with her chosen winner Stu Laundy exactly three months on from the show’s finale episode.
However, despite the suspicious timing, the 38-year-old TV personality has only ever denied claims that they had obligations to fulfil a Network Ten contract.
“There were no contracts or pressure to stay together whatsoever from anyone and we remain, friends,” Sophie said in her Instagram statement, at the time she confirmed their break-up.
