Nick Chubb, Leonard Fournette lead Week 4's unexpected performances

Week 4 had a wild start, to say the least. A plethora of relatively unknown players decided to score touchdowns aplenty in the early slate. Some stars busted. Others went completely nuts on the fantasy scoresheet.

And fantasy gamers had to just try and hold on for the ride.

Nick Chubb and Leonard Fournette may have had the most unexpected explosions of the day, so you can imagine how happy this guy was:

Chubb’s output was especially impressive considering he was going against a Ravens run defense that had been top-six against the run in 2019. Although, one fantasy gamer wasn’t especially happy of his performance, nor that of Lamar Jackson, whose team ended up falling to Chubb’s Browns:

Fournette rushed for over 200 yards in a Jaguars victory, which helped this fantasy gamer — who, after making a big trade (of Todd Gurley) and watching his WR1 (DeAndre Hopkins) deliver a dud — solidified his Week 4 victory, thanks to Fournette and Kenny Golladay:

Currently, the top-scoring wide receiver in Week 4 is Chris Godwin, who put up a stunning 12 catches, 172 yards, and two touchdowns — on this unlucky dude’s bench:

But some shocking performances are made shocking because of what DOESN’T happen, as two star players busted for this fantasy gamer:

Finally, one performance not many people expected was Stefon Diggs, who caught all seven of his targets for 108 yards against a stifling Bears defense. Unfortunately, when you consider what Diggs has done the past few weeks, along with his outlook in a run-first, Kirk Cousins-led offense, well ...
