The rumours are true! News that notoriously private couple Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are expecting their first child together has been confirmed by multiple sources.

The stars, who began dating after starring in 2011's The Place Beyond The Pines, haven't been photographed together since November 2013 - and Eva hasn't been spotted at all since March this year.

While rumours had been swirling that the pair had split, it turns out the actress is actually seven-months along with their first child.

A friend of the 40-year-old actress told PEOPLE that while Eva had said in the past she wasn’t planning to get married or have children, “with Ryan things are different….she’s very independent but she’s content with her partner. She finally found the person she really wants to be with.”

Pregnancy rumours popped up back in February after Eva refused to go through an X-ray scanner at the airport, however she told Ellen DeGeneres at the time it was because she finds them 'really creepy'.
"They basically see you naked, right?" she said.

"And not only that, but there's a radiation aspect to it, so I always opt out. I always ask for a personal pat-down. I don't mean in person, I meant in private because they can take you. Ladies, I want you to know that they can take you in private, they can take you into an area."
