They may not have seen each other for years, but the camaraderie is clear between old friends Nicolle Dickson, who played Bobby, Ross Newton (her TV husband Greg), Norman Coburn, who played family patriarch and headmaster Donald, and Ryan Clark, his TV grandson Sam.

Summer Bay's Fisher family reminisce about the good old days and catch up on what they're doing these days in this week's New Idea magazine, on sale now!

"It’s quite odd, really, after all this time, people over 30 years of age always come up and want to talk to you," says Norman, who played Summer Bay High’s former principal, ‘Flathead’ Fisher, one of the original cast members. "I thought it would all die down!"

31-year-old Ryan is now a star on reality TV’s Bondi Rescue and was just seven years old when he started on the hit series.

"We used to spend so much time together, and being so young they were like having a second set of parents", he recalls.

Nicole, now 45, lives in the NSW Southern Highlands with her husband and two teenage boys, and while she now works as an accountant she also stills enjoys acting, performing in local theatre productions.
